Couples, ENM and Kink-Affirming Therapy
In Person and Virtual
Our practice provides trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ and kink/BDSM-affirming therapy for couples of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship styles. We offer a safe space to explore intimacy, communication, boundaries, and desire—whether you are navigating everyday relationship challenges or incorporating alternative sexual and lifestyle practices. Our goal is to support you in building trust, connection, and fulfilling relationships that honor your unique needs and values.
Our goal is not to fit you into a “one-size-fits-all” model of relationships, but to support you in building the kind of connections that feel right for you and your loved ones.
Who We Help
Alternative Lifestyle & Relationship-Affirming Therapy
Our practice supports individuals, couples, and polycules of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship styles—including queer, non-binary, gender-expansive, and alternative-lifestyle communities—as well as couples in more traditional relationships. We provide trauma-informed, affirming therapy for a wide range of relationship structures, including:
Consensual non-monogamy (ENM) & polyamory
Kink/BDSM communities and dynamics
Traditional monogamous relationships
Couples, Thruples, and Polycules in ENM or Alternative Relationships
Whether you are new to ENM, exploring kink dynamics, or have practiced for years, relationship therapy can help you:
Build better communication and negotiation skills
Strengthen emotional intimacy and connection
Navigate conflict resolution
Explore new relationship or sexual dynamics
Rebuild trust after challenges
Traditional & Kink-Affirming Couples Therapy
For couples in traditional relationships or those exploring kink/BDSM, we provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to:
Improve communication and problem-solving skills
Deepen intimacy, desire, and connection
Explore boundaries, consent, and sexual expression
Address stress, trauma, or relational patterns affecting your partnership
Individual Therapy for Relationship & Lifestyle Exploration
Some people benefit from individual therapy before or alongside couples or polycule work. Individual sessions can support you with:
Anxiety, panic attacks, or stress related to relationships
Navigating life transitions, new partners, or breakups
Emotional regulation, trust-building, and attachment work
Processing sexual trauma, religious trauma, or stigma
Clarifying personal values around intimacy, sexuality, and relationship style
Group Therapy & Community Support
Navigating ENM, polyamory, or kink can be deeply rewarding—but challenging at times. Our group therapy provides a supportive space for individuals, couples, and polycules to:
Share experiences and challenges in a safe, affirming environment
Explore themes like boundaries, jealousy, compersion, and communication
Learn skills for balancing multiple relationships while maintaining self-care
Receive guidance from an affirming therapist and peer support
Build community and reduce isolation that can come from stigma
Whether you are just beginning or have years of experience, group therapy can help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to strengthen your relationships.
Evidence-Based & Holistic Approaches
Sessions typically last 50–60 minutes, and we integrate a variety of evidence-based and holistic approaches to support growth and healing:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): shifting unhelpful thought patterns around jealousy, insecurity, or self-doubt
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): building mindfulness, communication, and emotional regulation skills
Internal Family Systems (IFS / Parts Work): exploring inner parts that shape relational patterns
Eye Movement Therapies (EMDR & ART): processing trauma and emotional blocks affecting intimacy and trust
Somatic Approaches: connecting with the body to release stress and cultivate presence
Attachment-Based Therapy: strengthening safety, trust, and secure bonds across all relationships
Plant Medicine Integration Therapy: supporting meaning-making from non-ordinary states and integrating insights into relationships and daily life
We also incorporate brain science and human behavior research to understand relational patterns and foster healthier communication and connection.
