About Our CE Program
Alternative Therapy — Trauma & Psychedelic Integration Clinic is a licensed clinical practice and continuing education organization based in Utah, operating across Utah, Florida, and Idaho. Our CE program is directed by Dr. Krista Buda, LCSW, PATP, with content reviewed by a licensed social work consultant.
Our mission is to expand clinician competence in underserved and emerging areas of mental health practice — providing rigorous, evidence-based training that supports better outcomes for historically marginalized client populations.
Courses Offered:
Alternative Therapy provides continuing education for licensed mental health professionals, including Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and Licensed Psychologists. Our CE programs are developed and taught by licensed clinicians with advanced training in trauma-informed practice, somatic therapy, psychedelic integration, and diversity-affirming care.
All courses are designed to enhance clinical competence, ethical practice, and client safety — grounded in current peer-reviewed research and directly applicable to licensed social work practice.Ethical & Affirming Practice with Kink, BDSM & Fetish Clients 3.0 CE Hours | Asynchronous Online | Intermediate Level
This reading-based online course prepares licensed clinicians to provide ethical, affirming, and competent care to clients who identify as kink-involved, BDSM-practicing, or fetish-identified. Content includes terminology, DSM-5-TR framework, clinical distinctions between consensual kink and abuse, intersections with neurodivergence and race, and modality-specific guidance for IFS, EMDR, somatic therapy, and psychedelic integration.
